ANNA CHOCHOLI — visual artist, art director and VFX

Anna designs, directs and builds digital worlds for stage and screen. Trained in visual arts and media technology, she works in high-concept CGI, motion design and new media. On stage, her visuals envelop the performers, setting a space and an emotional tone for the music to flow. She also works as a creative partner and VFX supervisor, helping artists and directors solve visual puzzles on set and in post, often with custom and generative tools.

Her recent work moves between concert stage, film set and screen. She created the visual concert for the 2024 Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival closing concert with Daniel Hope, directed Stimming’s visual album Friedrich and its live shows, and in 2026 staged Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad at Hope’s invitation. Her animation and VFX work runs from Owen Gildersleeve’s handcrafted paper designs for New York City Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet to projects for Iggy Pop, Dove Cameron and UPSAHL.

As a director, she won Best Music Video at the New York Lift-Off Film Festival for Reindier’s Nooit Meer Slapen. Her work has also been recognized by the Motion Design Awards, featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, and shown at festivals, museums and exhibitions including Kröller-Müller Museum, TodaysArt, Athens Digital Arts Festival and DEMO.

Based between the Netherlands and Greece, Anna works internationally across music, fashion, film and dance, and keeps a personal practice in visual arts.
